Review: Ziva, Mallorca

Hello everyone,

Hope you’re having a great summer (if it’s summer wherever you are in the world!). I recently went to Mallorca in Spain so today’s post is a short review of a health food cafe/takeaway shop I found.

I went to the one in Santa Catalina and the one in Calle Protectora (both in the capital, Palma). Check out their website here for more info.

At the Santa Catalina branch, below, we ordered 2 smoothies: a blueberry burst (the purple one) and a strawberry delight (the pink one). So so so delicious. Both smoothies were amazing and I chose to add a scoop of Sunwarrior protein to mine (the strawberry) because it didn’t have any already in the ingredients. Delcious! I would highly recommend!

I also got a kombucha to try as I’m trying to eat more fermented foods. The kombucha isn’t made by them, it’s from a Spanish brand I’d never heard of but it was really delicious – I don’t usually like ‘health drinks’ but this was seriously good! Here’s a link to the kombucha brand’s website www.kombucheria.com

The apple and cinnamon granola we got to eat at home with yoghurt, but you can get it with almond milk to eat there, which is nice. It was really tasty, crunchy from the buckwheat and sweet from the dried apples but not overly sweet like some ‘healthy’ granolas often are.

The above picture is at the Calle Protectira where we got a blueberry blast and the dish of the day – courgette noodles with veggies in a Thai curry sauce (made with coconut milk). It was average, I didn’t eat it all and I wouldn’t buy it again but I don’t usually enjoy raw food dishes (apart from salads) so I wasn’t surprised.

The atmosphere in both Zivas is comfy, warm and welcoming although I didn’t enjoy in the Calle Protectora branch that it is mixed with an estate agents and furniture store all in one shop (weird)! However, that branch does have the peaceful courtyard, lovely to sit in the sunshine (or shade!) and sip away at your smoothie!

Staff were helpful and informative, service was quick but I would say price is quite expensive for what it actually is, however that wouldn’t stop me buying there again!

Healthy Instagrammers

Hi everyone,

Today’s post is a little bit different as I wanted to share with you some of the accounts I spend a lot of time procrastinating browsing through in my valuable  spare time! You may not know this already but although I’m now a foodie, I also consider myself a healthy foodie! As much as I love chocolate, desserts, bread, takeaways, eating out etc. etc. I’m also really into health and fitness. I will do more posts about this in the future and I will be sharing some of my favourite healthy recipes but for today I wanted to keep it short and sweet (she says finishing the first rambly paragraph!).

In no particular order, here are some of the instagram accounts I love to go to for inspiration! (These accounts will inspire anyone, not just health conscious people as I can promise all of the food looks amazing and the recipes I have tested definitely live up to the expectations!)
